Strange Tales From A Chinese Studio(《聊齋志異》/《聊齋》/《鬼狐傳》/《聊斋志异》) is a literary masterpiece written by the famous Chinese literary figure Pu Songling. The book is divided into 12 volumes and contains 491 short classical Chinese novellas. Pu Songling, on the basis of inheriting the traditions of Wei-Jin supernatural tales and Tang-Song legends, achieved great success in the creation of classical Chinese novellas with his elegant writing and broad-minded sentiment. The book has thus become a classic work that is well-known to both men and women of all ages.
