Chi Jiang Zi Yu: From Flower Eater to Windwalker Carpenter

Chi Jiang Zi Yu(赤将子轝), was a person from the time of the Yellow Emperor. He did not eat the five grains but instead consumed various flowers from plants. During the reign of Emperor Yao, he became a carpenter. He had the ability to move with the wind and rain, and at that time, he sold silk ropes used for tying arrows at the entrance to the market, which is why he was also known as “Jiaofu.”

赤将子轝者,黄帝时人也。不食五谷,而啖百草华。至尧时,为木工。能随风雨上下。时于市门中卖缴,故亦谓之缴父。
