Chi Jiang Zi Yu: From Flower Eater to Windwalker Carpenter

A mythology figure from the time of the Yellow Emperor, known for not eating grains and selling silk ropes. Discover his story in ancient China.

Chi Jiang Zi Yu(赤将子轝), was a person from the time of the Yellow Emperor. He did not eat the five grains but instead consumed various flowers from plants. During the reign of Emperor Yao, he became a carpenter. He had the ability to move with the wind and rain, and at that time, he sold silk ropes used for tying arrows at the entrance to the market, which is why he was also known as “Jiaofu.”
